N佐川美術館 樂吉左衞門館Sagawa Art Museum Raku Kichizaemon-Kan非日常への導入Introduction of the Out of the Ordinary琵琶湖と比叡山を望む美しい環境に位置する美術館の別館増築である。十五代樂吉左衞門氏とのコラボレーションにより現代の茶室と非日常的展示室の創出に取り組んだ。当初示された構想に基づき、葦の茫々と茂る水庭にうかぶ現代の茶室と、水面下に埋設された樂茶碗の展示室を計画している。水庭を眺める経路空間を特徴とする本館との連続性を保ちながら、いかにして、別館に特徴をもたせるかを念頭に非日常空間の創出をめざした。(内海 慎介)This is an extension to an art museum located in a beautiful environment that looks out onto Lake Biwa and Mount Hiei (Hieizan). With the collaboration of the fifteenth Raku Kichizaemon, the creation of a modern tearoom and an out of the ordinary exhibition room were undertaken. Based on the initial concept, a tearoom raised above a water garden in which many reed were growing and an exhibition room for Raku teacups below the water level were planned. The aim was to create an out of the ordinary space as a characteristic of the extension, while maintaining connectivity with the main building with pathways looking out over the water garden.
