By improving the heat insulation performance in this way, the heat losses at night time are reduced, and a reduction in the usage of artificial lighting through the use of dispersed solar light was achieved. (Heat transfer coefficient 1.29W/m2K) Soft light passing through Japanese paper was a design point for both the internal and external appearance. The environmental load of the building as a whole was reduced by reducing the external air heat load using heat and cool tube, by conserving energy using geothermal heat, and by reducing the usage of mains water by using rainwater.
