11213222222522422N愛知学泉大学附属桜井幼稚園Sakurai Kindergarten attached Aichi Gakusen University緑の園庭を中心とする遊びの空間A play space with a green schoolyard in the center「どんぐりの木を中心にした緑の園庭をつくりたい。」区画整理事業に伴う幼稚園の建替において、園長先生が真っ先に求めた条件がそのような言葉であった。保育室と園庭を分けることなく、はだしで駆けまわり、どろまみれで遊ぶ保育環境の実現のために、平屋建ての園舎を緑の園庭をぐるりと囲むように配置し、保育室と園庭を開放的なテラスで有機的につなぐ計画とした。楽しい窓の形や、テラスの屋根の上もかけっこのできるデッキなど、園児が初めて体験する空間にさまざまな遊びの要素をとりいれた。(因 純一)"I want to create a green schoolyard with an acorn tree in the center." From the outset, the administrator of this kindergarten was clear about the desired conditions for the kindergarten reconstruction to be implemented in connection with redistricting. To this aim, one-story kindergarten buildings were placed so as to surround and enclose the green schoolyard, linking the kindergarten rooms and the schoolyard in organic fashion with an open terrace, in order to create a childcare environment with no separation between the kindergarten rooms and the schoolyard, in which children could run around barefoot while covered in mud. A variety of play elements for the kindergarteners that would experience this place for the fi rst time, such as enjoyable shapes for windows, were also provided. Even the terrace roof was made into a deck that can be used for footraces.
