事務所三原通りNクロス銀座Cross Ginza「織り」を表現したファサードFaçade depicting a tapestry大丸松坂屋が手がける、東京銀座の商業(1・2階)事務所(3-9階)ビルである。今後開発が期待される三原通りを活性化させ、松坂屋本館に繋がる新たな賑わいの契機となる建築を目指した。「織り」をデザインコンセプトとし、窓と層間で構成される事務所ビル的な表現でなく、開く機能(ガラス)と閉じる(パネル)が織り成す、機能と用途で変化するファサードとした。街に対する賑わいをファサードで表現すると同時に、内外の視界や環境負荷を制御している。一般的に事務所ビルは、夜間には明かりがまばらになり商業地に賑わいを与えることが少ない。夜間に暗がりになる層間部にもLED照明をランダムに設け、昼間の外装と反転させることで夜景としても「織り」の賑わいを表出した。(柏田 恭志)This building, located in Tokyo's Ginza district, is the commercial and office building for Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores Co., Ltd. Floors 1 and 2 house commercial facilities, and the company offices are on floors 3 through 9. The aim of the construction project was to stimulate Mihara-dori, an area in which future development is anticipated, and to provide increased opportunities for new activity in the area that would extend to the Matsuzakaya main store. "Tapestry" was used as the design concept in order to create a façade that does not look like the façade of an office building. The exterior is made up of windows and interlayer sections, but it weaves together open functions (glass) and closed functions (panels) in a way that changes depending on function and use. This enables the façade to communicate activity to the surrounding urban area, while at the same time controlling the inner and outer visibility and environmental load. In general, office buildings are sparsely lit at night, and therefore few of them communicate activity to the surrounding commercial district at night. In this building, however, LED lighting is provided randomly, even in between floors that are dark at night. This creates a tapestry of activity even at night that contrasts with the appearance during the day.
