尾﨑呉服店Kimono Store OSAKI地域活性のシンボルとなる老舗呉服店Renovation of a venerable kimono store symbolizes local revitalization老舗店主の世代交代および株式会社化に伴い、老朽化した店舗を解体し、ブランドイメージのリニューアル事業として計画した店舗。表通りに面する外観は、ガラスブロックをデザインモチーフに、4年前に竣工した住宅書斎棟※と店舗とで、形態の変化を含みながら「対」のバランスを感じられる一体的なファサード構成とした。1階呉服店、2階質屋とオフィス、3階フリースペース(ギャラリー)で構成される。ショーウィンドーに象徴される足元の賑わいや、質屋の確かさを象徴する壁表現、シンボルとなるガラスブロックとした外観構成で、建物用途を表現した。呉服・質といった「和」文化を再生・発信し、地域商店街活性化の新しいシンボルとなることを意図した。(秦 敏彦)The project for this venerable establishment involved the dismantling of its existing aged building and the renewal of its brand image. The work was conducted on the occasion of incorporation and the generational change in ownership. For the exterior that faces a main street, a glass block motif was used to create an integrated façade that balanced the contrast between the different styles of the store building and the building containing a residence and study that had been completed four years earlier. The first floor houses the kimono store, the second floor has a pawnshop and office, and the third floor is a free space that serves as an art gallery. The show window that symbolizes ground-level activity, the wall that represents the reliability of the pawnshop, and the exterior of glass blocks that serves as the symbol of the store, represents the various uses of the building. The design recreates and communicates the unique Japanese culture with the configuration of the kimono store and pawnshop and is designed to be a new symbol of the revitalization of the local shopping mall.
