テクニカフクイTechnica Fukui田園の中の研究所A research laboratory in the countrysideオーディオ用品の世界的なシェアを持つ、オーディオテクニカの子会社である。工場機能の移転に伴い、事業所を創業の地に統合した。敷地全体のマスタープランを策定し、開発・設計拠点としての新社屋を敷地入口側に配置した。後ろに山を抱く敷地は奥に行くほど地盤が上がり、建物の一辺は約50m、高さ9.1m、大自然の中で伸びやかなスケールをもつ空間となっている。北国における建築が本来持つべきシェルターとしての機能と、西側の日射環境の制御を考慮し、ファサードは閉じた箱として開口部を絞り込み、1階は大きく軒を出した。雪に囲まれる冬には、2階部分の浮いた形態が積雪の風景により強調される。自然と調和しながら確かな存在感を有する、コンクリート化粧打ち放しの内外装としている。(長谷川 寛)Technica Fukui Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Audio Technica Corporation, a company with a global share of the audio component market. The company's factory functions were moved elsewhere and the offices were integrated at the site on which the company was founded. A master plan for the entire site was formulated and a new company building to serve as a development and design center was placed at the entrance to the site. The elevation of the site increases as it approaches the mountain to the rear. The building, 9.1 m in height with sides measuring approximately 50 m, is one with a comfortable scale located in a beautiful natural setting. As buildings located in the northern country must also serve an essential function as shelters, and out of consideration for control of the sunlight environment on the west side, the façade is that of a closed box with limited apertures, and the first floor has large extended eaves. In the winter, when the building is enclosed by snow, the mantle of fallen snow accentuates the floating form of the second floor section. While being in harmony with nature, the decorative exposed concrete both inside and out gives the building a definite presence.
