551432N京都銀行 茨木ビルBank of Kyoto Ibaraki Building立体的な「庭」と千本格子Vertical "Gardens" and Senbongoshi (wooden louver)JR茨木駅の駅前に建つ、銀行・テナントオフィスで構成された複合ビル。敷地は閉鎖的な「うなぎの寝床」であったため、町家にみられる坪庭や通庭を現代のオフィスビルに立体的に再構成し、積極的な外部環境の取り込みを図った。北側に坪庭を確保し、西側のコア部分を通庭に見立て、柔らかい自然光と風を取り込む。宿場町であった茨木において伝統的である千本格子をモチーフとし、ファサードには自然木の縦ルーバーをガラスの奥に設置した。木ルーバーとコンクリートの庇は環境負荷を低減し、奥行きのある表情を見せる。(伊藤 剛)This building complex located in front of Ibaraki Station on the JR Kyoto Line has a bank and tenant offices. The site is a long, narrow closed space, so the aim was to actively incorporate the external environment by recreating vertically the small inner gardens and toriniwa (shortcut leading from the front entrance to the rear entrance) seen in traditional Kyoto machiya or merchant's houses. A small inner garden was placed on the north side, while the core section of the west side was made to resemble a toriniwa. Soft natural light and breezes were admitted into both gardens. Using as a motif the Senbongoshi (wooden louver) that was a traditional construction method in Ibaraki when it served as a relay station, vertical louvers of natural wood were placed behind glass to form the façade. The wooden louvers and concrete eaves reduce the environmental load and provide an impression of depth.
