医療法人豊田会 刈谷豊田総合病院TOYOTA - KAI Medical Corporation KARIYA TOYOTA General hospital新陳代謝する医療施設A medical center with a changed metabolism刈谷豊田総合病院は、同じ敷地にとどまり、地域の中核医療を続けながら、高機能な急性期病院への変貌を遂げている。綿密な建替えステップは、常に最新ニーズに合わせて更新しながら、14年間に渡って建替えを進めてきており、さらに新たな計画も進行中である。先進的な医療機能の部分とともに、吹抜け、ガラスの通路、緑豊かな中庭といった建築的な要素を連続させることで、利用者の心が癒されるような環境づくりをおこなっている。(吉岡 英一)The goal of this project was to keep the TOYOTA-KAI Medical Corporation KARIYA TOYOTA General Hospital in the same and transform it into an acute care hospital with advanced functions while it continued to serve as the core medical center in the region. The painstaking re-construction stage involved upgrading the building to meet up-to-date needs while replacing the patchwork of reconstructions that had taken place over the past 14 years; new plans are also in the process of being implemented. While the medical functions were upgraded, the atriums, glass-walled corridors, courtyard with abundant greenery and other architectural elements were maintained to create an environment that can heal the hearts of hospital patients.
