The temple of Shoudoukai-kyoudan in KannoUndulating 3-dimensionally curved wood frame roofうねりを持つ3次元曲面の木架構の屋根Owner: Shoudoukai-KyoudanLocation: Kakogawa-shi, HyogoMain use: TempleDesign and construction work: Takenaka Corporation・Architects: Masakazu Iwai, Shingo Katou・Structual: Takashi Kawano, Futoshi Ohori, Takehito Kumano, and Takuma Kawakami・M&E: Takashi Shinojima, Satoshi Nishiyama・Landscape: Yoshinori Onishi ・Site manager: Atsushi Okawara Site area: 2,999.50 m2Building area: 1,346.30 m2Total floor area: 1,998.16 m2Construction: Wood, Steel , Reinforced concreteNumber of stories: 2 floors above groundConstruction term: December 2010 to December 2011建築主:宗教法人 正導会教団所在地:兵庫県加古川市主要用途:寺院設計施工:竹中工務店・設計:岩井正和・加藤慎悟・構造:河野隆史・大堀太志 熊野豪人・川上沢馬・設備:篠島隆司・西山敏史・ランドスケープ:大西美典・作業所長:大河原篤敷地面積:2,999.50㎡建築面積:1,346.30㎡延床面積:1,998.16㎡構造:W+S+RC造階数:地上2階工期:2010.12~2011.12This facility, provided for the ascetic training of followers of the Lotus Sutra, is located on a hilltop overlooking the Banshu plain. The Buddhist tower and training center are meant to resemble a lotus flower and lotus leaf, respectively, and to depict a place of prayer enveloped in a lotus leaf and surrounded by nature. The roof with its three-dimensional curved surface and gentle undulations is a mixed structure that uses wood for the main frame, and was assembled with great precision using 3D-CAD and three-dimensional surveying. The interior of the hall has 128 exposed binding beams of curved laminated wood placed in a radiating pattern, creating a large (30 m x 20 m) wooden space that communicates both strength and comfortable warmth. This structure, entirely hand built by dedicated workers using natural materials, was designed to blend into the local landscape, and it is one that is appreciated more and more as time passes.(Masakazu Iwai)大地に浮かぶ木架構の屋根と重厚な石積の基壇26Works26
