1234ORCA STADIUM SECTION S=1：1000国内で飼育実績の少ないオルカ（シャチ）を展示し、総水量は国内最大級の規模を誇る。オルカ・イルカの観覧席からは、海を眺めながら迫力あるパフォーマンスを間近で体感でき、観覧席下のレストランやホールからは大きなアクリル窓越しに水中の姿をじっくりと観察することができる。魚類展示では、滝から川・海への水の流れや渦潮を再現し、自然光や植物を用いてリアルな生育環境をつくりだすことで、生きもの達の生き生きとした動きをひきだしている。(梶村 健)The aquarium displays 19,000 specimens of marine life in 560 species that include orcas (killer whales), which are quite rare in Japan. The total volume of water in the tanks is among the largest in Japan. From the killer whale and dolphin spectator gallery, visitors can admire the ocean as they experience the dynamic performances right in front of their eyes. They can also gaze at these magnificent creatures underwater through the large acrylic windows of the restaurant and public hall located beneath the spectator gallery. In the fish exhibits, whirlpools and water flowing from waterfalls through rivers to the sea are recreated, and natural lighting and plants are used to create a realistic habitat that brings out the dynamic movements of the sea creatures.
