Construction of a New Terminal Building Starts at Seletar Airport in Singapore

Takenaka Corporation (President : Masahiro Miyashita) has started construction of a new Seletar Airport Terminal Building under a contract awarded by the Changi Airport Group. The value of the contract is approximately 3.8 billion yen (converted into Japanese yen). The contract work period is scheduled to extend from October 2016 to mid 2018.

Located in north-eastern Singapore, Seletar Airport is primarily used by private jets, charters, medivac, and training. It serves as a backbone infrastructure supporting the growth of the Seletar Aerospace Park, which positions Singapore as a key aerospace hub in the region. This project will further reinforce Seletar Airport′s standing as an important aviation gateway to Singapore, by constructing a brand-new terminal building to the east of the airport.
After completion of the new terminal, scheduled turboprop aircraft operations will shift from Changi Airport to Seletar Airport. Business Aviation users will also enjoy improved amenities and facilitation at the new terminal facility.
