Takenaka Corporation
On this occasion, Takenaka Corporation (President: Masato Sasaki) has published this Takenaka Corporate Report 2020. In addition to broadly presenting the Takenaka Group's CSR vision, this report has been issued for the purpose of having all stakeholders understand the overall business activities of our company, which is expanding our group and its global operations. In this report, we have included "Major Objectives (Materiality)," which place greater emphasis on an external perspective, and then based on this our "2020-2022 Action Plan for a Sustainable Society." With the purpose of continued sustainable corporate activities in the future, both concepts have been introduced in an easy-to-understand manner while also linking with the web. In addition, we take a closer look below at our company's emblematic activities, which are initiatives aimed at a sustainable society.
-
①Initiatives with the environment
We introduce our company's environmental efforts aimed at realization of a "naturally symbiotic society," "low-carbon society" and "resource recycling society". These include establishment of our Major Objectives (Materiality) related to the environment, and our long-term targets for CO2 reduction aimed at 2050. -
②Urban creation for resolving social issues
We introduce MACHInnovation® initiatives. These are intended to resolve various social issues together with people in local communities by visualizing the society and urban landscapes we aspire to in the future. -
③Innovating construction processes and realizing diverse work styles
In addition to work style reform through the promotion of work-life balance, we also introduce productivity improvements of entire processes that exploit the merits of the Integrated Design-Build System, which our company has long cultivated. In doing so, we incorporate the latest technologies such as BIM and digital fabrication, mechanized construction, and ICT/AI.
