Issuance of the Takenaka Corporate Report 2022

On this occasion, Takenaka Corporation (President: Masato Sasaki) has published the Takenaka Corporate Report 2022. In addition to broadly presenting the Takenaka Group's CSR vision, this report has been issued for the purpose of having all stakeholders understand the overall business activities of our company, which is expanding its group and global operations. In this report, the 2020-2022 Action Plan for a Sustainable Society, based on the “Major Objectives（Materiality）” identified in 2020, is presented in an easy-to-understand manner in conjunction with our website.
In addition, we take a closer look below at our company's emblematic activities, which are initiatives aimed at a sustainable society.

①Harmonization with the Environment
We introduce green infrastructure and the Seiwadai Forest Project to help create a society in harmony with nature. The Report also introduces initiatives aimed at reducing CO2 emissions 100 percent by 2050 in order to realize a decarbonized society. In addition to reductions with in-house activities, there is a goal to provide buildings with zero life-cycle CO2 emissions. -
②Work Style and Productivity Reform
We introduce various work styles and initiatives aimed at improving productivity through a new Takenaka Production System. This is an architectural production reform designed to respond to customer needs and generate new value. The Report also features the reconstruction plans for our Shizuoka and Okayama Regional Branches as model projects with comments from the people in charge. -
③Sustainable Architecture and Urban Creation
We introduce MACHInnovation® initiatives. These are intended to resolve various social issues together with people in local communities by visualizing the society and urban landscapes we aspire to in the future. We also present examples of activities in coordination with Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture and activities at Narai-juku in Shiojiri City.
