Nagoya Toho Building
AICHI 2004This project involved the rebuilding of a movie theater, "Meiho Kaikan," much-loved for many years, into a twin building (offices and hotel). The office tower has large, open windows for letting in plenty of sunlight, and the large standard floors with high ceilings can be partitioned into small units for renting. The building also has earthquake-resistance, and security equipment. The theme for the hotel tower was "the realization of a high-quality everyday," and an unwearying, sophisticated space has been created. The two towers have been designed with a sense of unification and harmony, both function-wise and exterior appearance-wise.
