Umeshin Dai-ichi Seimei Building
OSAKA 2007This project entailed the construction of an "environmentally-friendly" rental office building facing the Umedashinmichi intersection in Osaka. Giving consideration to the local community, the plan enabled the maintenance of public spaces, such as rebuilding the approach to the neighboring shrine through the building on the ground level. Also, double-skin curtain walls were developed to greatly reduce the sunshine heat load, as a measure against global warming. By renting on a floor-by-floor basis as the standard, compared to other buildings, the tenants have a greater feeling of exclusive use. This building has received the ranking of "S" from CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Building Environmental Efficiency) Osaka.
