Dainippon Pharmaceutical New East Building

Osaka 2004

This is a new laboratory specially designed for chemical synthesis experiments for Dainippon Pharmaceutical. The client required a system which had advanced experiment emission processing capacity and could be flexibly meet changes in the experimental environment. A "flat slab with base isolation structure" was used with earthquake-resistant walls consolidated in both sides of the building, and by using a flat frame without beams in the central experiment and research zone, it was possible to design an optimum layout with ducts for the large amount of equipment. The equipment functions in the experiment and research zone is designed into 6.4-meter span units, so that the area can flexibly meet future changes to the equipment. With a high-performance air-conditioning control system and a heat-recovery heat-source system, the facility safety, environmental measures, and energy conservation are ensured.
