Solution
New cultural and information center
“Shibuya PARCO”
is born!
A new type of urban revitalization, creating a bustling atmosphere that takes advantage of Shibuya's neighborhood character and PARCO's unique features

The aim of this project was to create a new center for the dissemination of culture and information in Shibuya by reorganizing the district around Shibuya PARCO to improve the accessibility of the town. In addition to assisting in the formulation of the district plan and the urban planning proposal for this special urban renaissance district, we provided total support for the project as the designated operational agent for redevelopment, including landowner consultations, support for renovation procedures, and design and construction. The slopes, streets, and neighborhoods characteristic of Shibuya are incorporated as a three-dimensional street around the perimeter of the building, and a circulation line is planned to connect the flow of people and the bustle of Shibuya directly into the site. Along this "vertical street," PARCO's unique stores, theaters, incubation facilities, advanced offices, plazas, and other facilities are organically arranged to host various events, foster fashion and theater culture, and disseminate information.
