Participation in initiatives and declarations

Takenaka Corporation seeks to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders through its endorsement of various initiatives and industry association activities.

CDP	July 2020	We are responding to CDP climate change.
Japan Climate Initiative (JCI)	February 2020	We endorsed the Declaration, "Joining the front line of global trend for decarbonization from Japan," and we are promoting this initiative.
Japan Climate Leaders’ Partnership (JCLP)	June 2021	We joined JCLP, a corporate group aiming to realize a sustainable decarbonized society, as a supporting member.
SBT Initiative	January 2023	We committed to obtaining SBT certification, and we aim to obtain certification by 2023.
GX League	April 2023	We are participating in the GX League.
TNFD	March 2023	We endorsed TNFD recommendations, and we participated in the TNFD Forum.
Keidanren Biodiversity Declaration Initiative	February 2020	We endorsed the purpose of the Declaration of Biodiversity by Keidanren and Action Policy, and we are disclosing our initiative policy.
Japan Business Initiative for Biodiversity (JBIB)	April 2008	We are working to develop land use assessment tools.
Association for Business Innovation in harmony with Nature and Community; ABINC	July 2015	In order to realize the Aichi Targets (adopted at COP10), we are working to reverse the vector of corporate activities, create a system where living creatures and humans can coexist in harmony, scientifically and technologically verify this system, and then commercialize it.
National Conference on Fostering Beautiful Forests in Japan	November 2022	We are a member of this organization, which was established for the purpose of working toward forestation that contributes to the realization of SDGs and carbon neutrality.
Certified as a Company Jointly Taking Action to Protect Japan's Forests (Promotion Council for the Movement to Protect Japan's Forests by Utilizing Domestic Timber)	April 2018	We promote the use of domestic timber and we are working toward a sustainable virtuous cycle between forest resources and local economies.
Registered Wood-related Business Operator based on the Act on the Promotion of Use and Distribution of Legally-harvested Wood and Wood Products (commonly known as the Clean Wood Act)	October 2018	We strive to ensure the traceability of timber and procure domestic, legal timber, and we make annual reports on the procurement status of legal timber.
Japan Business Federation Charter of Corporate Behavior	(Established in September 1991)	We dispatch committee members, and we are involved in management of the program.
Japan Federation of Construction Contractors Corporate Code of Conduct Voluntary Environmental Action Plan for the Construction Industry	April 2011 (established by merging three organizations)	We dispatch committee members, and are involved in management of the program.
