Using the quadrupedal walking robot “Spot” at construction sites

Demonstration experiment with Boston Dynamics, SoftBank Robotics, and SoftBank from June 2018.

The quadrupedal robot "Spot" from Boston Dynamics patrols construction sites to check and record updates on day-to-day activities remotely and automatically.

With robots, on-site management tasks could be carried out remotely or automatically, increasing the number of tasks and operations that can be completed without the need to be on-site.

I am involved in researching and developing technology to utilize the quadruped robot "Spot" for managing construction sites. By using this robot to patrol construction sites, we can realize a construction site of the future, where even people in remote areas can be involved.

My specialty lies in computer science, including robotics. There are aspects of architecture as a field that I don’t have full knowledge of as an individual, but I am able to make use of my strengths in my research by working with a team to solve problems.
